Copper Zooms To Two Year High Amid Positive Equities

COMEX Copper futures spiked to two year high, breaking above $2.60 per pound amid positive risk sentiments and weak US dollar index. The red metal currently trades at $2.61 per pound, up 0.78% on the day after sharp gains in the last week. The counter has zoomed around 11% compared to same time last year. Meanwhile, in equities today, China?s Shanghai Composite index rose 0.79% and Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index gained 0.54%. European stocks saw mixed movement amid lack of economic cues. US stocks gained on Friday. The Nasdaq led the charge with a 2% surge.
